Many of the families we serve are not facing a single challenge. Food insecurity, housing instability, transportation issues, and financial stress often occur at the same time.

 

Our first priority is to ensure individuals and families have access to the basic necessities required to maintain stability.

Over the next five years, we will expand access to food assistance, housing and utility support, and basic needs services for households experiencing financial hardship. We will strengthen our mobile food distribution efforts to reach individuals who face transportation barriers and increase our capacity to respond quickly when families are at risk of eviction, utility disconnection, or food shortages.

​

Our goal is not simply to provide emergency assistance. We want to help families avoid crises before they become emergencies. 

We have learned that financial hardship is often connected to a lack of access to practical financial education. Many participants have never been shown how to build a realistic budget, establish savings goals, improve credit, or develop a plan for long-term financial security.

Over the next five years, we will expand financial literacy programming by providing workshops, one-on-one coaching, and educational resources that address real-life financial challenges. Participants will receive practical guidance on budgeting, debt reduction, savings strategies, and financial decision-making.

​

Success will be measured not only by program participation but by tangible outcomes such as increased savings, reduced debt, improved financial confidence, and decreased reliance on emergency assistance programs.

Throughout our work, we have seen that women, seniors, and low-income families often experience barriers that are not immediately visible. Isolation, limited transportation, caregiving responsibilities, and rising living costs can quickly create instability.

Our priority is to strengthen services that help these populations remain connected to resources and support systems. This includes expanding outreach efforts, increasing partnerships with community organizations, and identifying gaps that prevent people from accessing available services.

We want every person who comes to Resounding Mind to leave with more than a referral. They should leave with a clear pathway toward stability and the confidence that someone is walking alongside them through the process.

As demand for services continues to grow, it is essential that we strengthen the systems that support our work. Over the next several years, we will invest in improved data collection, outcome measurement, volunteer engagement, and program evaluation.

We want to move beyond counting how many people we serve and focus on understanding how lives are changing because of our services. This includes tracking housing stability, food security, financial progress, and participant outcomes over time.

By building stronger evaluation systems, we can make better decisions, improve programs, and demonstrate impact to community partners, donors, and funding organizations.

No single organization can solve complex community challenges alone. Strong partnerships allow us to maximize resources and extend our reach.

Over the next five years, we will continue developing relationships with local businesses, faith-based organizations, schools, healthcare providers, government agencies, and philanthropic partners. These relationships will help us increase service capacity while creating a stronger network of support for the individuals and families we serve.

We will also diversify funding sources by increasing grant funding, individual giving, corporate sponsorships, and community partnerships to ensure long-term sustainability and growth.
